Get Into the Spirit of Fall With These 3 Drinks

Fall is the time of year when everyone is gathering together for those last few hurrahs before the cold weather starts to settle in. It's apple picking, pumpkin carving, football watching, and just sitting around a bonfire keeping warm under a blanket with those you're closest to. To keep in the spirit of the fall weather, you should be serving cocktails to reflect the change in season. Read on for a few fall drinks you can serve at your next get-together.

1. Spiked Apple Cider

Give your apple cider a bit of kick with a little bit of apple-flavored whiskey. Add a shot of an apple-flavored whiskey, such as Crown Royal apple to your favorite apple cider. Mix well to combine, then add a stick of cinnamon for garnish and some ice if you prefer it cold. If you would rather have it warm, warm up your apple cider before adding your whiskey shot. Pour it all into a copper mug.

2. Cinnamon Cider Rum

Taking the same idea as above, but adding a creamy rum can offer a bit of a different flavor. Pour a shot of rum, such as Rum Chata into a mug along with some warm apple cider. If you prefer, you can also use apple liqueur. If you aren't looking for an apple flavoring at all, you can mix your Rum Chata shot with pumpkin instead for a pumpkin spiced drink. Add a cinnamon stick for garnish to either recipe you prefer to use.

3. Fireball And Rum Chata

Combine Rum Chata and Fireball in a glass and garnish it with the cereal Cinnamon Toast Crunch for a cinnamon-flavored drink your guests are sure to enjoy.  You can crush the cereal and garnish it around the rim of your glasses for some added flair. This one can be very dangerous as it is very tasty.

These are just a few of the drinks you can use for your fall cocktails at your next gathering. Consider working with a local liquor store before your next party so you can stock up on your essentials, get more drink recipe ideas, or try new flavors or products. You'd hate to run out in the middle of all of your fun. Keep a stash of beer on hand for those that don't like to drink cocktails, and some wine for those that don't like to drink liquor or beer either.
